This was my final project during my apprenticeship at ETH. My task was to create illustrations for a new website. This involved, on the one hand, illustrations for various services and, on the other hand, topics such as Mediamatics, computer science, business administration, and areas of interest.

My Initial Ideas and Implementations.
At the beginning, I had to figure out what artistic direction the illustrations should take. To do this, I experimented with various ideas and approaches in Figma. After several attempts, it became clear that the illustrations should have a three-dimensional style.
Figma Weave

Here you can see my workspace on Figma Weave.
To gather additional inspiration and new ideas, I was given access to Figma Weave. Using this tool, I was able to generate various image ideas with the help of prompts and combine different elements. This led to many new approaches that helped me develop my illustration style.
Services Illustrations

Here you can see two illustrations: a compass and a globe.
Here are two illustrations I created, for example, for the services “Project Management” and “Research & Analysis.” It was important to me to visually convey the essence of each service in a way that is easy to understand.

These two illustrations took me the longest to complete.
With the help of Figma Weave, we got an initial idea of what the various sections might look like. However, since the perspective and composition of the generated images weren’t quite right, I then redesigned the illustrations from scratch and adapted them to the desired concept.
Questions Space

Here you can see the questions space.
This illustration depicts what is known as a “question space.” It is intended to appeal to people who are interested but do not yet know exactly which option is right for them. The space serves as a visual invitation to get in touch and learn more.
KV Space

This ist the KV Space
This is the illustration for the KV space. For all illustrations, it was important to work primarily with lines rather than shapes. This made it easier to export the files later and reuse them for various applications.
During this project, I found creating 3D illustrations particularly challenging, as this type of design didn’t come easily to me at first. Nevertheless, I persevered and looked for a solution. Together with my vocational trainer, I eventually developed my own template with correct perspective lines. This gave me a solid foundation to work from, allowing me to build the illustrations step by step. This experience showed me that even difficult tasks can be solved with the right method and support. Sometimes it’s not about being able to do something perfectly right away, but about finding the right path to keep growing.
