Briefing
At Student Project House, was my key work, to make reels. Dabei war es essenziell das ich das lerne, da bei meinen vorherigen Rotationsplätzen es noch gar nicht möglich war das zu machen.
The Microscope

During my studies at ETH, I worked in various rotations. One of them was the Student Project House, an innovation center where ETH students can develop and launch their own startups. My main responsibility was to plan, film, edit, and prepare social media Reels for publication.
The Goal

I shot my first reel about a two-person team that had founded a startup developing portable microscopes. The goal of the project was to enable children to assemble their own microscopes and use them to discover the world in a playful way.
Using Emoji's

In the long term, the microscope should also be connected to an AI system. This system should be able to recognize what is under the microscope and provide users with additional information about it.
Caption Text

Ideas for the caption.
Since the Student Project House’s marketing posts use a lot of emojis, it was important to incorporate that style into my Reel as well. This allowed the post to blend seamlessly into the existing social media presence and ensured a consistent brand image.

Before publishing, I carefully reviewed the finished reel. Among other things, I checked the video quality, format, and volume to ensure that the final product met the quality standards.
First Post at Student Project House

Finally, my first reel was posted on the Student Project House's official Instagram account. I was very proud to see my work featured on a public channel with so many viewers.
This first reel was one of the biggest challenges I faced during my training. I learned to approach strangers, conduct interviews and shoot footage on my own using a smartphone, and edit and process all the material independently. Above all, I learned to be brave and not to give up when something doesn’t work out right away. Especially with creative projects, it often takes several attempts—and that’s exactly how you grow the most.
