Here are my top 6 photos, which I took over the course of a year at various events. It was through shots like these that I was able to hone my photographic eye and learn how to edit images in a targeted way.
Lake of Zurich

This photo was taken from the ETH main building.
This photo was taken while my classmates and I were photographing the ETH graduation ceremony. We were on the rooftop terrace of the ETH main building and were able to enjoy the beautiful view from there.
Glass Building

I took this photo from below specifically to enhance the building's impact.
This building is located in Aargau, and I photographed it during our photography workshop. It was important to me to include the windows in the foreground. That's why I deliberately chose a low angle to emphasize the building's size and significance.
Product Photography: Valentino Perfume

The Valentino perfume in a cool setting to create striking shadows.
This product photo was also taken during our photography workshop. For the assignment, we had to bring in an object of our own and photograph it. The Valentino perfume was particularly well-suited for this, as the glass bottle and the light allowed us to create some fascinating effects.
Building with blue shutters

A building with a natural softbox made of clouds.
The only adjustment made to this photo was a slight change to the color intensity of the blue sky. The photo was taken during a photography course at ETH. The thick cloud cover softly diffused the sunlight, evenly illuminating the building. As a result, the sky almost looks as if it were added later.

It was important to me that the triangular roof be visible in the photo as well.
This building is also located in Aargau and was photographed during our photography workshop. I particularly liked the modern architecture, the glass facade, the light-colored stones, and the contrast with the bright blue sky.

I was lucky enough that one of the jumping tamarins looked right at me.
This photo was taken at the Zurich Zoo. The jumping tamarins were very lively and constantly on the move. That made me all the more happy to be able to capture the exact moment when one of them looked straight into the camera—and in such beautiful light.
All of these experiences have taught me many valuable lessons. I’ve learned that it’s better to take one photo too many than one too few, you can always delete pictures later, but you can’t get a missed moment back. I’ve also realized that every perspective has a different effect on the viewer. It’s precisely these different angles that make photography so exciting and offer the opportunity to tell stories in a wide variety of ways.
